Petersfield Bowling and Snooker Club Snooker History

We would love to place any of your old club snooker pics here so if you have any of past or present members / teams then please send them (and / or old stories) to Marc Lockley at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , we would like to build a small history of the club and the people in it over the years so the memories are preserved.

Early 70's

In the centre we can see E R Coles presenting his E R Coles Scratch Trophy.

I am reliably informed that Mr Coles was known as 'Biff' Coles and held many positions within the club including Club Secretary, committee member and Treasurer.

Do you know who the other two members were? We know that the gentleman on the right was a non playing snooker captain but we don't have a name as yet?

In 1978, this was the first Petersfield Team to secure all 3 major trophies in the Midhurst and District Snooker League; we have managed to track down an old paper cutting from the Petersfield Post which can be seen below.
