Petersfield Bowling and Snooker ClubPetersfield Bowling and Snooker Club was established in 1908.

The club has been described locally as 'The Hidden Gem' as it has never been obvious to passes by but is well know to the people in the town. The club itself has always strived to maintain a warm and friendly atmosphere which has no doubt contributed to it's success over the years.

Serving it's members for well over a hundred years has helped build the clubs current membership to 212 with a range of ages across the board.

Based in St Peters Road the club boasts a well furnished bar area, full size bowling green with four rinks and two high quality full sized snooker tables.


Petersfield Bowling GreenEach year, bowls is played from the end of April right through to September.

The club has 4 rinks and matches usually take place at weekends in the afternoon in addition to to regular 'Three Counties' leagues where two teams take part every Tuesday evening.

Rinks are available for casual play most mornings and afternoons and can be simply booked by entry in the rink diary (coaching is also available through the bowls our bowls sub committee).


Petersfield Snooker RoomThe snooker section has a very successful set up with four teams taking part in the 'Midhurst & District Snooker League' on Friday nights through the autumn and winter.

On Tuesday evenings the club also operates a '3 Reds' handicap knockout which has been popular for over 30 years now giving all standards of player a fun evening no matter what level your game is at.

The club benefits from two full sized snooker tables that are kept to a very high standard and are played on by serious and social snooker players alike.


Petersfield Bowling and Snooker Club BarThe licensed bar is well stocked for all tastes and the prices are well known for being some of the most competitive in the town. The main bar area has recently benefitted from an extensive refurbishment programme.

Opening hours:

Bar: Lunchtime - 12 to 2pm, evenings usually from 7pm.

Club: Monday to Saturday usually 8am to 11pm, Sundays 10am to 5pm.


Petersfield Bowling and Snooker Club KitchenAdditionally:

The club boasts superb modern kitchen facilities providing support to it's bowls and snooker teams when hosting matches against rival clubs.

Generally, the kitchen facilities are designed to provide cold buffets, tea and coffee but it's use has grown to a level where it's now utilised for the club's busy social events calender and more than often with more adventurous offerings.
